简介
BTNL8 protein potentially stimulates the primary immune response by affecting sub-optimally stimulated T-cells through the TCR/CD3 complex. It promotes T-cell proliferation and enhances cytokine production. BTNL8 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived BTNL8 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

-
Biological Activity
Measured by its ability to enhance anti-CD3-induced IFN-gamma secretion of mouse CTLL-2 cells. The ED50 for this effect is 2.028 μg/mL in the presence of 10μg/mL anti-CD3, corresponding to a specific activity is 493.097 U/mg. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BTNL8, or Butyrophilin-like 8, is a member of the butyrophilin family, which plays significant roles in immune regulation and T-cell activation. Emerging research has highlighted BTNL8 as an important modulator of immune responses, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases and infections. The protein is predominantly expressed in lymphoid tissues and is believed to influence T-cell receptor signaling and cytokine production. Recent studies have demonstrated that BTNL8 can interact with various immune pathways, potentially affecting the activation and differentiation of T cells. This has spurred interest in the development of BTNL8 recombinant proteins for therapeutic applications, as understanding its structure and function may pave the way for novel strategies in immunotherapy. The recombinant form of BTNL8 allows for detailed investigations into its biological activity and interactions with other immune components, which could reveal new insights into its role in immunological diseases and promote the design of targeted therapies. As research progresses, BTNL8 is positioned to be a significant focus in the quest for innovative treatments for conditions characterized by immune dysregulation.
