  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The CD1D-B2M heterodimer is a crucial component of the immune system, primarily involved in the presentation of lipid antigens to T cells. CD1D, a member of the CD1 family of glycoproteins, is responsible for the recognition of glycolipids and is expressed on various immune cells, including dendritic cells and B cells. β2-microglobulin (B2M) is an essential protein that stabilizes the structure of CD1D, enabling its function in antigen presentation. Research on the CD1D-B2M heterodimer has garnered significant interest due to its role in facilitating the activation of NKT (natural killer T) cells, which are pivotal in bridging innate and adaptive immunity. Studies have shown that these cells play a vital role in various immune responses, including tumor surveillance and the regulation of autoimmune diseases. Understanding the structural and functional dynamics of the CD1D-B2M heterodimer can provide insights into its involvement in immune regulation and disease mechanisms. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production and study of this heterodimer, paving the way for potential therapeutic applications, including vaccine development and immunotherapy. By exploring the interactions and functionalities of this complex, researchers aim to leverage its properties for innovative approaches in treating infectious diseases, cancer, and autoimmune disorders. The investigation of CD1D-B2M not only enhances our understanding of lipid antigen presentation but also opens new avenues for harnessing the immune system in clinical settings.
