简介
CD1D protein, in partnership with B2M, functions as an antigen-presenting protein, binding self and non-self glycolipids. It presents these molecules to T-cell receptors on natural killer T-cells, playing a pivotal role in immune responses. CD1D also interacts with MHC II and CD74, contributing to the coordination of the adaptive immune system. CD1D1-B2M Heterodimer Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing mouse-derived CD1D1-B2M Heterodimer protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. CD1D1-B2M Heterodimer Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His), has molecular weight of ~40-50 & 12 KDa, respectively.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The CD1D1-B2M heterodimer is a crucial component of the immune system, playing a pivotal role in the presentation of lipid antigens to T cells. CD1D1, part of the CD1 family of lipid antigen-presenting molecules, is primarily expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and interacts with beta-2 microglobulin (B2M) to form a functional heterodimer essential for vertical transport and stability. This complex is integral for the recognition of glycolipids and sphingolipids by invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells, which are vital for the regulation of immune responses. Research on the recombinant expression of the CD1D1-B2M heterodimer aims to elucidate its structure-function relationship, enhance our understanding of iNKT cell activation mechanisms, and explore its potential therapeutic applications in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders. By generating recombinant proteins, researchers can investigate binding affinities with various lipid antigens and develop novel immunotherapeutic strategies. This research is not only significant for basic immunological studies but also has important implications for designing vaccines and treatments that harness the power of the immune system, highlighting the clinical relevance of the CD1D1-B2M heterodimer in immunology and therapeutic interventions.
