简介
The PVR/CD155 protein, encoded by the PVR gene, acts as a receptor for poliovirus. It is involved in the regulation of heterophilic and homophilic cell adhesion, as well as leukocyte-mediated cytotoxicity. PVR/CD155 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived PVR/CD155 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

-
Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rat PVR/CD155 at 20 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Rat DNAM-1/CD226. The ED50 for this effect is 796.7 ng/mL. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PVR/CD155, a key immunoregulatory protein, is part of the poliovirus receptor family and plays a crucial role in immune modulation and cell signaling. It is expressed on various cells, including immune cells and tumor cells, where it interacts with its receptor, such as DNAM-1, leading to the activation or inhibition of T-cell responses. Research into PVR/CD155 has gained prominence due to its dual function in promoting immune evasion in tumors while also contributing to the immune response against pathogens. In the context of cancer immunotherapy, elevated levels of PVR/CD155 have been associated with poor patient outcomes, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Moreover, studies exploring recombinant PVR/CD155 proteins aim to elucidate its structure-function relationship and therapeutic potential, including the development of monoclonal antibodies that can enhance anti-tumor immunity. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of PVR/CD155 could pave the way for novel strategies to harness the immune system against cancer and improve therapeutic efficacy in combination with other immunotherapies. Thus, the research surrounding PVR/CD155 is vital for the advancement of cancer immunology and the development of effective treatments.
