Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FURIN is a proprotein convertase that plays a critical role in the processing of various precursor proteins into their active forms, influencing many physiological and pathological processes, including viral entry, tumor progression, and neurodevelopment. The enzyme is ubiquitous in mammals, and its activity is tightly regulated, as dysregulation can lead to severe consequences such as cancer or infectious diseases. Given FURIN's pivotal role, research has focused on understanding its structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. Scientists have been investigating FURIN's substrate specificity and its role in the activation of pathogenic proteins, such as those from several viruses, which rely on FURIN for their maturation and infectivity. Recent studies have also explored FURIN's involvement in various signaling pathways and its contribution to diseases. The development of recombinant FURIN proteins has facilitated these investigations by allowing for in-depth studies of enzyme kinetics and interaction with substrates. This research holds promise for the discovery of novel intervention strategies, potentially leading to advancements in treatments for viral infections and cancer therapies. Understanding FURIN's multifaceted roles can provide valuable insights into cellular processes and highlight new avenues for drug development.
