Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PFKL (phosphofructokinase, liver type) is a crucial regulatory enzyme in the glycolytic pathway, playing a significant role in cellular energy metabolism by catalyzing the conversion of fructose-6-phosphate to fructose-1,6-bisphosphate. Research on PFKL has gained traction due to its implications in various metabolic disorders and cancer progression, where altered glycolytic activity is often observed. PFKL is primarily expressed in the liver, and its activity is tightly regulated by several allosteric effectors, including AMP, ATP, and citrate, which reflect the energy status of the cell. Given the importance of PFKL in managing bioenergetic homeostasis, studies have focused on characterizing its structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms. The recombinant expression of PFKL in various systems (such as bacteria or yeast) allows for an in-depth investigation of its enzymatic properties and potential as a therapeutic target. Recent advancements in protein engineering have facilitated the design of more stable forms of PFKL, enabling researchers to study its kinetics and interactions with other metabolic pathways in greater detail. This understanding can lead to the development of novel strategies for treating metabolic diseases, where PFKL dysregulation may be a contributing factor. Overall, the ongoing research into PFKL and its recombinant proteins is expected to provide valuable insights into metabolic regulation and potential therapeutic interventions.
