Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NBC4, or Na+/HCO3- cotransporter 4, is a key protein involved in bicarbonate transport, playing a crucial role in maintaining acid-base balance in various physiological processes. Research on NBC4 has gained significant attention due to its implications in various health conditions, including hypertension, heart disease, and metabolic disorders. The protein is primarily expressed in the kidney and the gastrointestinal tract, where it facilitates bicarbonate reabsorption and secretion. Dysregulation of NBC4 has been linked to disorders such as renal tubular acidosis and cardiac dysfunction, leading to a surge in studies aimed at understanding its structure, function, and regulation. Recent advancements in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques have enabled scientists to delve deeper into the mechanistic pathways involving NBC4, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions. Understanding NBC4's structure-function relationship is critical for developing targeted therapies for conditions associated with bicarbonate transport dysregulation, highlighting the importance of continued research in this field. As researchers explore NBC4’s interactions with other cellular components and its role in signaling pathways, it may unveil new avenues for treating diseases tied to electrolyte imbalances and offer insights into the broader implications of bicarbonate transport in metabolic health.
