Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of ELN (elastin) recombinant proteins has gained significant attention due to the crucial role elastin plays in maintaining the elasticity and structural integrity of connective tissues. Elastin is a key protein in the extracellular matrix, primarily found in tissues such as skin, blood vessels, and lungs, where it contributes to their mechanical properties. Research has shown that elastin degradation is associated with various aging-related conditions and diseases, including cardiovascular disorders and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. However, the natural elastin polymer is difficult to isolate and manipulate, prompting scientists to explore recombinant DNA technology as a viable method for producing elastin-like peptides and proteins. By engineering these proteins in microbial or mammalian systems, researchers aim to obtain elastin with specific properties that can mimic the natural protein's functionality. This approach not only facilitates a better understanding of elastin's structure-function relationship but also opens avenues for therapeutic applications, such as tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and the development of biomaterials designed to enhance wound healing and vascular repairs. As research progresses, the implications of ELN recombinant proteins may lead to innovative treatments for a range of conditions where elastin plays a pivotal role, ultimately addressing significant health challenges related to tissue elasticity and resilience.
