Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VPS54 is a component of the Golgi-associated retrograde protein (GARP) complex, which plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and the retrieval of proteins from endosomes back to the trans-Golgi network. Understanding VPS54 and its function is essential for elucidating the mechanisms of cellular transport and the regulation of protein localization within cells. Research into VPS54 has gained momentum due to its implications in various physiological processes and its potential involvement in diseases linked to protein mislocalization and trafficking disorders. Abnormalities in the GARP complex, including VPS54 dysfunction, have been associated with neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and metabolic disorders. Consequently, characterizing the recombinant VPS54 protein can provide insights into its structural properties, binding interactions, and functional roles in Golgi and endosomal trafficking pathways. Through the expression and purification of VPS54, researchers aim to conduct biochemical and biophysical studies to unravel its specific mechanisms of action and the broader implications for cellular homeostasis. This foundational knowledge may contribute to the development of therapeutic strategies targeting VPS54-related pathways, highlighting the importance of continued research in this area for advancing our understanding of cell biology and disease mechanisms.
