Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MIS12 is a crucial protein that plays an essential role in the proper functioning of the mitotic spindle during cell division, particularly in ensuring accurate chromosome segregation. Discovered initially in the context of mitosis, MIS12 is part of the Mis12 complex, which is integral to the formation of the kinetochore—a structure that facilitates the attachment of chromosomes to spindle microtubules. Research into MIS12 has gained momentum due to its implication in cancer biology; aberrant expression or mutations within this protein can lead to aneuploidy, a hallmark of various cancers. Additionally, studies have highlighted its evolutionary conservation across species, indicating its fundamental role in the cell cycle. By analyzing the structure and function of MIS12, researchers aim to uncover the molecular mechanisms behind its activity and regulatory pathways. The development of recombinant MIS12 protein has further advanced this field, allowing for detailed biochemical and functional assays, which are essential for understanding its role in chromosomal dynamics and potential therapeutic targets in cancer treatment. Overall, MIS12 represents a vital focus in the intersection of cell biology and oncology, underscoring the importance of precise chromosome machinery in maintaining cellular integrity.
