  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MTHFD1 (Methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase 1) is a key enzyme involved in folate metabolism, playing a crucial role in the one-carbon metabolism pathway. This enzyme facilitates the conversion of methylenetetrahydrofolate into methyltetrahydrofolate, which is essential for DNA synthesis, repair, and methylation processes. The study of MTHFD1 has gained significant traction due to its implications in various biological processes and diseases, including cancer and developmental disorders. Aberrations in folate metabolism have been linked to tumorigenesis, highlighting the importance of MTHFD1 as a potential therapeutic target. Furthermore, understanding the structure and function of recombinant MTHFD1 protein can provide insights into its regulation and interaction with other biomolecules. Recent advancements in recombinant protein expression systems have enabled the production of MTHFD1 for detailed biochemical and structural studies, paving the way for the development of inhibitors that could modulate its activity. Research into MTHFD1 not only enhances our understanding of metabolic disorders but also opens avenues for novel drug design in the context of cancer and other metabolic diseases.
