Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CLCN1 is a chloride channel protein encoded by the CLCN1 gene, which is primarily expressed in skeletal muscle. Mutations in CLCN1 are associated with inherited myotonias, particularly myotonia congenita, leading to muscle stiffness and impaired relaxation after contraction. The study of CLCN1 recombinant proteins is essential for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these disorders. Research into CLCN1 involves the expression and purification of the protein, allowing for detailed characterization of its biophysical properties, gating mechanisms, and ion transport functions. This work not only sheds light on normal muscle physiology but also aids in identifying potential therapeutic targets for myotonias. Additionally, the recombinant CLCN1 protein enables the development of pharmacological agents that could modify channel activity, offering new avenues for treatment strategies in patients suffering from muscle channelopathies. Overall, the investigation of CLCN1 recombinant proteins plays a critical role in the field of neuromuscular research, providing insights that could improve clinical outcomes for individuals with myogenic disorders.
