Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CDK5RAP1 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 5 Regulatory Subunit Associated Protein 1) is a crucial protein that plays a significant role in regulating neuronal functions and various cellular processes. It acts as a regulatory subunit for CDK5, a proline-directed serine/threonine kinase involved in neural development, synaptic regulation, and tissue differentiation. Abnormal regulation of CDK5 activity has been implicated in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's, as well as in various cancers. The study of CDK5RAP1 and its recombinant forms is essential for understanding its role in these pathological conditions. Researchers have focused on the characterization of CDK5RAP1’s structure, function, and interaction with CKD5 to elucidate its impact on cellular signaling pathways. Recombinant CDK5RAP1 can serve as a valuable tool for in vitro studies, enabling the investigation of its mechanistic role in modulating CDK5 activity and the downstream effects on neuronal function. Furthermore, studying the expression patterns and mutations of CDK5RAP1 provides insights into its relevance in disease contexts, potentially leading to novel therapeutic strategies targeting CDK5 signaling pathways. As research in this area progresses, the importance of CDK5RAP1 in health and disease continues to unravel, highlighting its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in neurodegeneration and malignancies.
