Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
TIMP-1 (Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases-1) is a key regulatory protein that plays a critical role in the modulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) turnover by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMPs are enzymes involved in the degradation of ECM components, and their dysregulation is linked to various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, tissue remodeling, and inflammatory diseases. The study of TIMP-1 has gained significant attention due to its dual role in both inhibiting MMP activity and promoting cell survival, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target. Increased levels of TIMP-1 have been associated with poor prognosis in several cancers, indicating its involvement in tumor progression and metastasis. Furthermore, understanding the structural and functional properties of recombinant TIMP-1 proteins can provide valuable insights into their mechanisms of action and enable the development of innovative therapeutic interventions. Researchers are exploring recombinant protein production strategies to generate TIMP-1 for both functional studies and potential clinical applications, such as drug design and regenerative medicine. As a result, TIMP-1 continues to be a focal point in studies aimed at unraveling the complexities of ECM dynamics and developing effective treatments for related diseases.
