Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RecG is a crucial protein involved in the bacterial DNA repair and recombination processes, particularly in Escherichia coli and other prokaryotic organisms. It belongs to the family of helicases and is recognized for its function in unwinding DNA structures that may impede replication and transcription. The study of RecG has gained significant attention due to its role in maintaining genomic stability, which is vital for the survival of bacteria under stressful conditions such as DNA damage caused by radiation or chemical agents. Understanding how RecG operates, including its interaction with other proteins and its ATPase activity, is essential for elucidating the mechanisms of homologous recombination. This process is not only important for repairing double-strand breaks but also plays a fundamental role in horizontal gene transfer—the exchange of genetic material between organisms, which contributes to genetic diversity and adaptability in bacterial populations. Research on RecG has broader implications in the field of biotechnology and medicine, as targeting such proteins may provide novel strategies for developing antibiotics or combating antibiotic resistance. By investigating the structural and functional aspects of RecG, researchers aim to enhance our understanding of the molecular underpinnings of DNA repair systems, providing insights that could inform therapeutic interventions in bacterial infections and other diseases linked to DNA damage and repair mechanisms.
