Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of isdB (iron-regulated surface determinant B) recombinant protein is primarily driven by its role in iron acquisition and virulence in pathogenic bacteria, particularly in Staphylococcus aureus. Iron is an essential nutrient for bacterial growth and survival, but it is often sequestered in host tissues, necessitating sophisticated mechanisms for uptake. IsdB is part of the isd (iron-regulated surface determinant) system, which enables the bacteria to extract heme from hemoglobin, an abundant iron source in the human body. Research on isdB recombinant protein focuses on understanding its structural and functional properties to elucidate how it binds heme and facilitates transport across the bacterial cell membrane. This knowledge is critical, as it can reveal potential targets for novel antimicrobial therapies aimed at inhibiting bacterial iron acquisition, ultimately contributing to the development of effective strategies against infections caused by S. aureus and other heme-dependent pathogens. Additionally, studying isdB may provide insights into broader mechanisms of bacterial adaptation to iron-limited environments, thus enhancing our understanding of microbial physiology and pathogenesis.
