Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAPGEF5, also known as the RAS protein activator like 1 (RAPGEF1), is a member of the guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) family that plays a crucial role in modulating RAS signaling pathways, which are vital for various cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Research indicates that RAPGEF5 is involved in the activation of RAS by facilitating the exchange of GDP for GTP, thus promoting oncogenic signaling cascades. Alterations in RAPGEF5 expression and function have been linked to several human cancers, making it a potential biomarker for tumor progression and a target for therapeutic intervention. Understanding the structural and functional aspects of RAPGEF5 through recombinant protein studies can provide insights into its role in RAS-mediated signaling pathways. Additionally, exploring its interactions with other cellular proteins and its regulatory mechanisms can reveal potential therapeutic strategies to inhibit aberrant RAS signaling in cancer. Thus, the study of RAPGEF5 recombinant proteins is crucial for elucidating the underlying molecular mechanisms that contribute to cancer biology and for developing targeted therapies that may improve patient outcomes.
