Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAPGEF4, also known as Ras-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factor 4, is a member of the RAPGEF family that plays a critical role in cellular signaling by facilitating the activation of the Ras superfamily of small GTPases. This protein is particularly significant in the context of neuronal development and synaptic plasticity, as it influences processes such as growth cone guidance and neurotransmitter release. Research has indicated that dysregulation or aberrant expression of RAPGEF4 may contribute to various neurological disorders and cancers, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of RAPGEF4 enables researchers to investigate its structural and functional characteristics, allowing for a deeper understanding of its role in cellular signaling pathways. Additionally, the use of recombinant RAPGEF4 in cellular assays can aid in the identification of novel drug compounds that modulate its activity, providing insights into new therapeutic strategies for treating diseases associated with Ras pathway dysregulation. Insights gained from studying this protein may also enhance our understanding of the broader implications of GTPase signaling in health and disease.
