Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAG1, or Recombination Activating Gene 1, is a crucial protein involved in the somatic recombination of immunoglobulin (Ig) genes, a process essential for the development of diverse antibody repertoires in vertebrates. This gene, along with its partner RAG2, orchestrates the cleavage of DNA at specific sites, allowing for the rearrangement of gene segments that form the variable regions of antibodies. Mutations or deficiencies in RAG1 can lead to severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), underscoring its importance in adaptive immunity. Research into RAG1 recombinant proteins has expanded our understanding of its structural features, enzymatic mechanisms, and the regulatory pathways that govern V(D)J recombination. Through various biochemical assays and genetic models, scientists are elucidating how RAG1 functions, its interactions with other molecular partners, and its role in immune system diseases. Moreover, insights gained from RAG1 studies hold potential for therapeutic applications, including gene therapy strategies aimed at correcting immunodeficiency disorders. This body of research positions RAG1 as a critical focal point in both immunology and genetic engineering.
