  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CNTN3, or Contactin-3, is a member of the contactin family of proteins, which are heavily involved in the development and maintenance of the nervous system. Research has indicated that CNTN3 plays a crucial role in neuronal cell adhesion, axon guidance, and myelination. Abnormal expression or mutations in the CNTN3 gene have been associated with various neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and cognitive disabilities, highlighting its importance in brain function and neural connectivity. The recombinant version of CNTN3 is of significant interest for researchers aiming to elucidate its biological functions, interactions with other proteins, and its potential role in disease mechanisms. By producing CNTN3 as a recombinant protein, scientists can investigate its structural properties, binding characteristics, and effects on neuronal cell behavior in vitro and in vivo. This research could pave the way for therapeutic strategies targeting CNTN3-related disorders, thereby advancing our understanding of the molecular underpinnings of neurodevelopmental conditions and facilitating the development of novel interventions or treatments. Through this foundational research on CNTN3 recombinant protein, insights into the complex dynamics of neuronal networks and their implications for health and disease may be gained, offering promising avenues for future biomedical applications.
