Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PTBP2 (polypyrimidine-tract binding protein 2) is a crucial member of the PTB gene family, which plays a significant role in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. The protein is involved in alternative splicing, mRNA stability, and translation, thus influencing various biological processes, including neuronal development and differentiation. Research into PTBP2 has gained prominence as it is linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and diseases such as cancer, where its expression levels and splicing activity can be dramatically altered. Understanding the mechanisms through which PTBP2 operates can provide insights into the regulatory networks governing RNA processing and may reveal new therapeutic targets. Additionally, PTBP2 has been implicated in the regulation of genes crucial for neuronal maturation, making it a pivotal focus in the study of neurogenesis and related disorders. Studies on PTBP2 recombinant proteins facilitate the exploration of its functional properties and interactions, advancing our comprehension of its role in cellular contexts and disease states. The recombinant form of PTBP2 enables researchers to dissect its binding capabilities, post-translational modifications, and interactions with other RNA-binding proteins, thereby elucidating the molecular pathways in which it participates. This growing body of research underscores the importance of PTBP2 in both fundamental biology and its potential implications in therapeutic interventions for associated disorders.
