  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ICOS (Inducible T-cell Co-Stimulator) is a member of the CD28 family of co-stimulatory receptors, playing a crucial role in regulating T-cell functions, including proliferation, survival, and cytokine production. Its pathways are integral to the immune response, particularly in facilitating T-helper cell differentiation and enhancing immune responses against tumors and pathogens. Research into ICOS has gained prominence due to its potential implications in cancer immunotherapy and autoimmune diseases. The ICOS pathway can promote the effectiveness of T-cell activation, thereby providing a promising target for enhancing the efficacy of therapeutic vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. Overexpression of ICOS in T cells has been linked to improved antitumor immunity, while its blockade can mitigate excessive immune responses in autoimmune conditions. The production and study of recombinant ICOS proteins allow researchers to explore its structure, function, and interactions with ligands and other immune receptors. Through detailed understanding and manipulation of ICOS signaling, scientists aim to develop novel strategies for enhancing immune responses in cancer treatments or dampening inflammation in autoimmune diseases, making it a critical area of investigation in current immunological research.
