Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ProSAPiP1 is a member of the SAP97 family of proteins, known for its role in the organization of postsynaptic density and its involvement in synaptic signaling. Emerging evidence suggests that ProSAPiP1 plays a crucial role in stabilizing and scaffolding glutamate receptors at synapses, thereby influencing synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions. Dysregulation of ProSAPiP1 expression or function has been implicated in various neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, including schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease. Researchers have turned their attention to characterizing the molecular mechanisms underlying ProSAPiP1 interactions with other synaptic proteins, as well as its contributions to the development and maintenance of synaptic structures. Understanding the biophysical properties and functional dynamics of recombinant ProSAPiP1 proteins is essential for elucidating their role in synaptic signaling pathways and may provide insights needed for therapeutic strategies targeting synaptic dysfunction in neurological disorders. Increasingly, studies aim to investigate the structural characteristics of ProSAPiP1 through advanced techniques such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, which can help in identifying potential binding sites and interaction partners. Thus, the research on recombinant ProSAPiP1 proteins serves as a significant avenue for unveiling the complexities of synaptic regulation and its implications for brain health.
