Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NEFM (Neurofilament Medium Chain) is a key structural protein in the neurofilament complex, playing a crucial role in maintaining neuronal integrity and function. Research into NEFM and its recombinant protein variants has gained significance due to their implications in neurodegenerative diseases, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer's disease, and multiple sclerosis. The neurofilament proteins, including NEFM, are released into the cerebrospinal fluid and blood, serving as potential biomarkers for neuronal damage and disease progression. The study of NEFM recombinant proteins allows for a deeper understanding of neurofilament dynamics, and offers avenues for therapeutic intervention by potentially modulating their assembly and interaction with other cellular components. Furthermore, recombinant NEFM can be utilized in various biotechnological applications, such as developing diagnostic tools and targeted drug delivery systems. As research advances, investigating the structure-function relationship of NEFM and its modifications can provide insights into neuronal health and the underlying mechanisms of neurodegeneration, thereby contributing to the development of innovative strategies for early diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
