Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRM2 (Protamine 2) is a significant protein involved in the packaging of sperm DNA and plays a crucial role in male fertility. It is a member of the protamine family, which are small, arginine-rich nuclear proteins that replace histones in sperm cells during spermatogenesis. The study of PRM2 has gained attention due to its potential implications in infertility, as any abnormalities in protamine synthesis can lead to compromised sperm quality and dysfunctional fertilization processes. Additionally, PRM2's unique characteristics, such as its ability to condense DNA and protect it from oxidative damage, make it a focal point in reproductive biology and assisted reproduction technologies. Recent research has focused on the molecular mechanisms governing PRM2 expression, genetic variations, and their association with male reproductive health. Understanding the structure-function relationship of PRM2 and its interaction with other sperm proteins could also pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies to address male infertility. Overall, the investigation into PRM2 not only enhances our understanding of sperm biology but also contributes to the development of diagnostic and treatment options for male reproductive disorders.
