Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CALCA (Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide Alpha) is a neuropeptide involved in various physiological processes, including pain modulation, blood pressure regulation, and inflammatory responses. Its significance has garnered considerable attention in the fields of neuroscience and pharmacology, especially due to its role in migraine pathophysiology and potential therapeutic applications. Research indicates that CALCA is implicated in the vasodilation process and neurogenic inflammation, making it a target for migraine medications. Scientists have focused on the recombinant production of CALCA to facilitate detailed studies of its structure-function relationships and to develop potential treatments. Moreover, understanding CALCA's signaling pathways could lead to innovative strategies for addressing various pain-related conditions. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology and protein expression systems have made it feasible to produce CALCA in sufficient quantities for both functional assays and drug development. This research aims to unravel the complexities of CALCA's biological roles and harness this knowledge to develop effective therapeutics for migraines and other related disorders, thereby contributing to improved healthcare outcomes.
