  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CER1, also known as Cerberus 1, is a member of the cysteine-rich domain family and plays a crucial role in early embryonic development and tissue patterning. Initially identified as a secreted protein involved in the regulation of maternal-fetal interactions, CER1 has garnered attention due to its significant role in inhibiting the signaling pathways of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and Wnt. This inhibition is essential for proper mesoderm formation during gastrulation and is implicated in the regulation of stem cell pluripotency. Researchers have explored the potential of CER1 as a therapeutic target in various diseases, including cancers, where aberrant BMP signaling is often a contributing factor. Furthermore, studies have indicated that CER1 may influence the behavior of stem cells in regenerative medicine, making it a promising candidate for enhancing the efficacy of stem cell therapies. Understanding the structure and function of CER1, as well as developing methods for its recombinant production, can facilitate detailed investigations into its biological functions and therapeutic applications. Advances in techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing have enabled more precise studies of CER1's roles in development and disease, paving the way for innovative approaches in regenerative medicine and targeted therapies. Overall, the study of CER1 and its recombinant protein forms presents an exciting frontier in developmental biology, with potential implications for treating developmental disorders and various forms of cancer.
