  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

POLA2, a crucial component of the DNA polymerase alpha (pol α) complex, plays a significant role in DNA replication and repair. This enzyme complex is vital for synthesizing the RNA-DNA primer required for initiating DNA replication, making POLA2 essential for maintaining genomic stability. Studies have indicated that POLA2 not only contributes to the polymerase activity but also possesses regulatory roles in the cell cycle and is involved in the coordination of replication stress responses. Given its vital functions, the dysregulation of POLA2 has been associated with various cancers and genetic disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent research has focused on elucidating the structural and functional mechanisms of POLA2, including its interactions with other proteins involved in DNA metabolism. Understanding these interactions is crucial for developing targeted therapies that can modulate pol α activity in pathological conditions. The study of POLA2 recombinant protein is also important for further insights into DNA replication mechanisms and the development of molecular tools for gene editing and therapeutic applications.
