Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
VP24 is a viral protein associated with the Ebola virus, known for its role in the virus's pathogenicity and immune evasion mechanisms. Understanding VP24 is crucial for developing therapeutic strategies and vaccines against Ebola, a highly lethal disease with periodic outbreaks leading to significant mortality rates. Research has demonstrated that VP24 inhibits the host's interferon signaling, thereby suppressing antiviral responses and allowing the virus to replicate more efficiently within the infected cell. It achieves this by blocking the translocation of critical signaling proteins, which undermines the cellular defense against viral replication. The characterization of VP24 and its interactions with host cell factors provides insights into the viral lifecycle and highlights potential intervention points. Additionally, VP24’s role in the virus's ability to evade the immune system underscores its potential as a target for drug development. Consequently, recombinant VP24 proteins are being studied for their utility in vaccine development and for designing antiviral agents. This focus on VP24 aligns with the broader efforts to enhance our preparedness against Ebola virus outbreaks and improve therapeutic outcomes in affected populations. Understanding the structure and function of VP24 can also contribute to the screening of small molecules or monoclonal antibodies that can neutralize its function, thus offering a pathway for the development of effective treatments and preventive measures against Ebola virus disease. Overall, the study of VP24 and its properties is a pivotal part of ongoing research aimed at tackling viral infections that pose significant threats to global health security.
