  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

BNIP1 (Bcl-2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein-interacting protein 1) is a member of the Bcl-2 family of proteins, known for its role in regulating apoptosis and autophagy, as well as cellular responses to stress. Research into BNIP1 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. It functions by interacting with mitochondrial proteins and modulating mitochondrial dynamics, thereby influencing cell survival. Dysregulation of BNIP1 has been associated with tumor growth and resistance to therapies, highlighting its relevance in cancer biology. Furthermore, its involvement in autophagic processes positions BNIP1 as a crucial player in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to hypoxic conditions. Studies have indicated that BNIP1 can promote selective autophagy of damaged mitochondria, preventing apoptosis and contributing to the survival of cancer cells in low-oxygen environments. The generation of recombinant BNIP1 protein is vital for elucidating its precise mechanisms of action and exploring potential therapeutic interventions. This research not only enhances our understanding of BNIP1's biological functions but also underscores its prospects as a target for novel cancer treatments and strategies to combat neurodegeneration. By employing techniques such as protein purification and functional assays, scientists aim to dissect the signaling pathways involving BNIP1, further establishing its importance in the cellular context and paving the way for future studies that may translate into clinical advancements. Overall, the exploration of BNIP1 and its recombinant forms presents promising avenues for therapeutic development and deepens our understanding of critical cellular processes.
