Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CAPN14 (Calpain 14) is a member of the calpain family of calcium-dependent cysteine proteases, which have been implicated in various cellular processes, including cell signaling, apoptosis, and muscle development. Recent research has indicated that CAPN14 is primarily expressed in the epithelial tissues of the human respiratory system and the inner ear, suggesting a vital role in these areas. Mutations in the CAPN14 gene have been associated with auditory and respiratory disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. The recombinant protein of CAPN14 has gained attention for its ability to facilitate studies on the enzyme’s functional mechanisms and interactions with other cellular proteins. Moreover, understanding CAPN14's specific role in cellular pathways could unveil novel insights into disease mechanisms, particularly in conditions linked to hearing loss and respiratory dysfunction. Therefore, the production and characterization of CAPN14 recombinant protein are crucial for further research that aims to elucidate its biological functions and contribute to the development of targeted therapies for related diseases.
