Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PGBD1 (PiggyBac transposable element-derived gene 1) is a DNA binding protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including genome stability, cellular proliferation, and differentiation. Discovered as a member of the PiggyBac transposase family, PGBD1 has garnered attention due to its involvement in cellular responses to DNA damage and its potential implications in cancer biology. Recent studies have indicated that PGBD1 may act as a modulator of gene expression, influencing the transcriptional landscape in response to genomic stress. Its unique ability to bind and potentially mobilize DNA makes it a candidate for investigating transposon activity and its impact on genomic evolution and plasticity. Furthermore, aberrations in PGBD1 expression or function have been associated with several malignancies, suggesting that it may serve as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis or prognosis and a potential therapeutic target. The recombinant expression and characterization of PGBD1 protein are pivotal for elucidating its biochemical properties, interaction partners, and regulatory mechanisms, thereby providing insights into its role in both normal physiology and disease states. Understanding PGBD1's multifunctional roles could lead to innovative approaches in cancer treatment and regenerative medicine, marking it as an important focus of molecular and cellular research. The ongoing exploration of PGBD1 and its pathways is expected to unveil new dimensions in our comprehension of cellular dynamics, genome regulation, and the intricate relationship between transposable elements and human health.
