Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
OR5T1, a member of the olfactory receptor gene family, plays a crucial role in the human sensory system by facilitating the perception of odors. As a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR), it is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons and is involved in the transduction of olfactory signals. Recent studies have highlighted the diverse functional roles of OR5T1, linking it to various biological processes beyond traditional smell perception, including its potential involvement in modulating immune responses and other physiological functions. The recombinant expression of OR5T1 protein is pivotal for investigating its structure-function relationship, ligand specificity, and downstream signaling pathways. This research is critical for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying olfactory sensing and the broader implications of olfactory receptors in health and disease. Furthermore, the study of OR5T1 and its interactions could pave the way for novel therapeutic approaches targeting GPCRs for a range of conditions, including neurological disorders and metabolic diseases. Thus, the exploration of OR5T1 as a recombinant protein has significant implications in both fundamental biology and applied biomedical research.
