  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

AIFM3, or Apoptosis Inducing Factor Mitochondria Associated 3, is a member of the Apoptosis-Inducing Factor (AIF) family, which plays a significant role in apoptosis and cellular stress responses. Research into AIFM3 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Unlike its well-studied counterpart AIFM1, AIFM3 is less understood, yet emerging evidence suggests its involvement in mitochondrial function and the regulation of programmed cell death. Recent studies indicate that AIFM3 may serve as a critical mediator in mitochondrial apoptosis pathways, influencing cellular survival and death under stress conditions. The recombinant production of AIFM3 protein has become a focal point in research, as it allows for detailed biochemical characterization and functional analysis of the protein. By examining the properties, interactions, and mechanisms of action of AIFM3, researchers aim to uncover its role in disease processes and explore its potential as a therapeutic target. The recombinant AIFM3 protein can be utilized to assess its effects on mitochondrial dynamics and cytotoxicity in various cell models, enhancing our understanding of its biological significance. Thus, studying AIFM3 not only contributes to our knowledge of apoptotic mechanisms but also opens avenues for therapeutic interventions in diseases where apoptosis regulation is disrupted.
