Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AFAP (Actin Filament Associated Protein) is a pivotal protein involved in various cellular processes linked to the cytoskeleton and cell signaling. Its research background is rooted in the understanding of how actin dynamics affect cell shape, motility, and intracellular transport. AFAP, characterized by its ability to associate with actin filaments, plays a crucial role in the organization and stabilization of the cytoskeleton, making it essential for cellular architecture and function. Studies have indicated that AFAP can also influence cell adhesion and migration, which is particularly relevant in cancer biology, as altered cell motility can lead to metastasis. Additionally, AFAP has been implicated in various cellular responses to mechanical stress, highlighting its importance in maintaining cellular integrity under different physiological conditions. Recent advancements in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce AFAP in significant quantities, facilitating in-depth investigations into its structural properties, interactions with other cytoskeletal proteins, and functional roles in broader biological systems. Understanding AFAP's mechanisms can shed light on its contributions to health and disease, offering potential therapeutic targets for conditions associated with cytoskeletal dysfunction. The ongoing research into AFAP not only enriches our knowledge of the actin cytoskeleton but also provides valuable insights into the molecular pathways that govern cellular behavior in both normal physiology and pathological states.
