Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
AP4b1 is a subunit of the adaptor protein complex 4 (AP-4), which plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and sorting of membrane proteins. Research into AP4b1 has gained momentum due to its involvement in several cellular processes, including endocytosis and the trans-Golgi network function. Dysregulation of AP4b1 has been implicated in various diseases, including neurodevelopmental disorders, where mutations can disrupt normal protein trafficking and lead to cellular dysfunction. Moreover, AP4 complexes are known to be essential for the proper transport of newly synthesized proteins to lysosomes, highlighting their importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Advances in molecular biology techniques, such as CRISPR/Cas9, have enabled scientists to explore the functional impacts of AP4b1 alterations on cellular mechanisms, providing insights into its specific roles in health and disease. Understanding the molecular pathways involving AP4b1 is critical for developing targeted therapeutic strategies for conditions linked to protein mistrafficking, thereby making it a focal point of modern cellular and biomedical research.
