Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SCG3 (Secretagogin 3) is a member of the secretagogin family of calcium-binding proteins, primarily expressed in neuroendocrine tissues. Research on SCG3 has gained traction due to its potential roles in calcium signaling, neurotransmitter release, and cellular communication in various physiological processes. Its expression patterns are especially noted in the pancreas, where SCG3 may contribute to insulin secretion, and in neuroblastoma cells, suggesting a possible involvement in tumorigenesis. Given the increasing incidence of metabolic disorders and neuroendocrine tumors, understanding the functional implications of SCG3 and its interactions within cellular pathways is crucial. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of SCG3, utilizing recombinant protein techniques to elucidate its calcium-binding properties and potential regulatory mechanisms. Furthermore, the exploration of SCG3 as a biomarker for certain diseases or as a target for therapeutic interventions has sparked interest in the scientific community. As research progresses, SCG3 may offer novel insights into both normal physiological functions and pathological conditions, enhancing our understanding of neuroendocrine regulation and metabolic health.
