Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MRAP2 (melanocortin 2 receptor accessory protein 2) is a recently identified protein that plays a crucial role in the function of melanocortin receptors, particularly the melanocortin 2 receptor (MC2R) involved in adrenal steroidogenesis. The significance of MRAP2 has emerged from studies highlighting its essential role in the transport and proper functioning of MC2R on the cell surface, which directly affects the adrenal glands' ability to produce cortisol in response to adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). Dysfunctional MRAP2 expression or mutations can lead to disorders, such as familial glucocorticoid deficiency (FGD), characterized by impaired adrenal response and altered steroid production. Research into MRAP2 is vital as it enhances our understanding of adrenal physiology and the molecular mechanisms governing hormone signaling pathways. Furthermore, insights gained from MRAP2 studies may pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies for related disorders, emphasizing the need for thorough investigations into its structure, function, and interactions within the melanocortin system. The exploration of MRAP2 not only contributes to endocrinology but also intersects with broader fields such as metabolic regulation and obesity research, making it a significant target for future biomedical studies.
