Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MKNK2 (MAP Kinase Interacting Kinase 2) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including stress responses, cell proliferation, and differentiation. As a part of the MAPK (mitogen-activated protein kinase) signaling pathway, MKNK2 functions as a downstream effector of the p38 and ERK pathways, influencing protein synthesis by phosphorylating eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eIF4E). Dysregulation of MKNK2 has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer, where it may contribute to tumor progression and resistance to therapies. Given its pivotal role in these signaling pathways, MKNK2 is a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment. Recent studies have focused on the characterization of MKNK2 recombinant proteins to elucidate its biological functions and regulatory mechanisms. By producing MKNK2 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to investigate its enzymatic activity, binding interactions, and influence on downstream signaling cascades. Understanding the molecular mechanisms of MKNK2 can provide insights into its role in oncogenesis and suggest novel strategies for intervention in cancer therapy. Overall, the study of MKNK2 recombinant proteins is essential for comprehending the biological significance of this kinase in health and disease, and for potentially developing targeted therapies that could improve patient outcomes.
