  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MED15, a key subunit of the Mediator complex, plays a critical role in the regulation of gene expression by serving as a bridge between transcription factors and the RNA polymerase II machinery. The Mediator complex is essential for the transcription of nearly all protein-coding genes, making MED15 an important focus for understanding gene regulation mechanisms in both normal development and disease states. Previous studies have indicated that MED15 is involved in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and response to environmental signals. Dysregulation of MED15 has been implicated in several pathological conditions, such as cancer and metabolic disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Research on MED15 involves analyzing its structural properties, post-translational modifications, and interactions with other proteins within the Mediator complex and beyond. Insights gained from MED15 studies could further elucidate the complexities of transcriptional control and inform strategies for targeted gene therapies. The ongoing investigation into MED15 emphasizes its significance in both fundamental biology and clinical applications, thereby underscoring its status as a vital component in the field of molecular biology and genetics.
