Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC23A2, a member of the solute carrier family, is a sodium-dependent vitamin C transporter that plays a crucial role in the uptake of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in various tissues. Given the significance of vitamin C in numerous physiological processes, including antioxidant defense, collagen synthesis, and immune function, understanding the mechanisms regulating its transport is vital. Researchers have focused on SLC23A2 due to its potential implications in health and disease, such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases, where altered vitamin C levels can affect cellular functions and overall health. The recombinant protein of SLC23A2 is generated to study its structure, function, and interactions, facilitating insights into its transport mechanisms and regulation. This research could lead to novel therapeutic strategies targeting SLC23A2, offering potential benefits in conditions where vitamin C homeostasis is disrupted. By characterizing the SLC23A2 recombinant protein, scientists aim to elucidate its role in cellular vitamin C transport, paving the way for advancements in nutritional science and pharmacology.
