  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PLCB1 (Phospholipase C beta 1) is a critical enzyme involved in the phosphoinositide signaling pathway, playing a vital role in various cellular processes such as growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. This enzyme hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate into inositol trisphosphate and diacylglycerol, which are essential secondary messengers that propagate signals from activated G-protein coupled receptors. Dysregulation of PLCB1 is implicated in several diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders. Consequently, understanding the structure and function of PLCB1 is of utmost importance for developing therapeutic strategies. The characterization of recombinant PLCB1 protein allows researchers to study its enzymatic activity, interaction with other signaling molecules, and its role in disease mechanisms. Moreover, obtaining a pure form of PLCB1 through recombinant technology facilitates detailed biochemical assays and structural studies, paving the way for drug discovery efforts targeting aberrant PLC signaling pathways. Recent advances in expression systems and purification techniques have led to significant progress in the production of functional PLCB1, providing a valuable tool for both basic research and clinical applications.
