Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LYK5, or LysM receptor-like kinase 5, is a significant protein in plant biology, primarily recognized for its role in mediating plant immunity and symbiotic interactions. Research on LYK5 has gained momentum due to its involvement in the perception of chitin-derived compounds, crucial markers of pathogen attack in fungi and some nematodes. Understanding the mechanisms by which LYK5 interacts with chitin and triggers downstream signaling pathways is vital for developing crops with enhanced resistance to diseases. Furthermore, LYK5 is implicated in establishing beneficial relationships with mycorrhizal fungi, which are essential for nutrient uptake in plants. The study of LYK5 recombinant proteins provides insights into structural and functional aspects, paving the way for biotechnological applications aimed at improving crop resilience and sustainability. As the global demand for food security increases amidst climate change and population growth, elucidating the role of LYK5 at the molecular level is imperative for breeding programs and genetic engineering approaches aimed at fortifying crops against biotic stressors.
