Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CYP3A5, a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily, plays a crucial role in drug metabolism and the biotransformation of various xenobiotics. Its genetic polymorphisms significantly influence enzyme activity, leading to variability in drug response among individuals. Approximately 20-30% of certain populations, particularly those of African descent, express the CYP3A5 *3, *6, or *7 alleles, resulting in non-functional enzyme forms. This variability poses challenges in personalized medicine, as individuals categorized as expressers or non-expressers exhibit vastly different pharmacokinetics for numerous drugs, including anticoagulants and immunosuppressants. The development of recombinant CYP3A5 proteins facilitates the study of these polymorphisms by providing a means to analyze enzymatic activity and drug interactions in vitro. Understanding the functional characteristics of different CYP3A5 variants can help optimize therapeutic strategies, reduce adverse drug reactions, and improve patient outcomes. Moreover, the availability of recombinant proteins enables the exploration of novel drug formulations and the assessment of the influence of dietary components or environmental factors on CYP3A5 activity. Thus, the ongoing research and characterization of CYP3A5 recombinant proteins are vital for advancing personalized pharmacotherapy and understanding the complex interplay of genetics, environment, and drug metabolism.
