Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ATP1a2, a key member of the Na+/K+-ATPase family, plays a crucial role in maintaining cellular ion homeostasis by regulating sodium and potassium levels across cell membranes. This protein is particularly important in the central nervous system, where it contributes to neuronal excitability and neurotransmission. Mutations in the ATP1a2 gene have been linked to various neurological disorders, including familial hemiplegic migraine and certain types of epilepsy, highlighting its significance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions. Given the crucial functions of ATP1a2, researchers have increasingly focused on studying its structure and function through recombinant protein technologies. By expressing ATP1a2 in heterologous systems, such as mammalian cell lines, scientists aim to produce large quantities of functional protein for biochemical and biophysical analyses. These studies are essential for understanding the molecular mechanisms by which ATP1a2 contributes to neuronal signaling and its role in disease. Furthermore, the characterization of recombinant ATP1a2 provides a platform for drug discovery efforts aimed at modulating its activity in various neurological conditions. Overall, the research on recombinant ATP1a2 is vital for advancing our understanding of cell physiology and developing therapeutic interventions for associated disorders.
