Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of Mc4r (melanocortin-4 receptor) recombinant protein is rooted in its significant role in energy homeostasis, body weight regulation, and metabolism. This receptor is part of the melanocortin signaling pathway, which is crucial for appetite control and energy expenditure. Genetic mutations in the MC4R gene have been linked to obesity in humans, highlighting its importance in understanding metabolic disorders. Researchers are increasingly focused on Mc4r to explore its potential as a therapeutic target for obesity and related health conditions. The recombinantly produced Mc4r protein facilitates the examination of its structure, function, and interaction with various ligands. Such studies can lead to insights into the receptor's signaling mechanisms and provide a foundation for developing novel pharmacological interventions. Given the growing prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndromes worldwide, the investigation of Mc4r and its recombinant forms could pave the way for innovative treatments that address these pressing health issues. Overall, the exploration of Mc4r recombinant protein is essential for deciphering the complexities of metabolic regulation and contributes to the broader understanding of how hormonal signaling impacts energy balance and body weight.
