  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LGP1, or laboratory of genetics and physiology 1, is a member of the DExD/H-box RNA helicase family and plays a critical role in the immune response, particularly in the recognition of viral RNA. Research has shown that LGP1 acts as a key modulator of the RIG-I-like receptor (RLR) signaling pathway, which is essential for the activation of type I interferons and other pro-inflammatory cytokines in response to viral infections. This protein can recognize double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) and single-stranded RNA (ssRNA), facilitating the activation of downstream signaling cascades that lead to the production of antiviral mediators. Moreover, LGP1 is implicated in various autoimmune diseases and has been found to have dual roles as both a promoter and a negative regulator of immune responses depending on the context, which makes it a target for therapeutic interventions. Understanding the structure and function of LGP1, particularly through the study of its recombinant forms, can provide insights into its mechanisms of action and interactions with other signaling molecules within the immune system. This research is particularly significant in the realms of virology and immunology, as it potentially aids in the development of novel antiviral therapies and strategies to modulate immune responses in disease contexts. The recombinant expression and purification of LGP1 are crucial for characterizing its biochemical properties and interactions, thereby paving the way for future studies aimed at targeting LGP1 in therapeutic applications. Overall, the study of LGP1 and its recombinant protein forms presents a promising avenue for advancing our understanding of immune regulation and viral pathogenesis.
