  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

UTY protein, a member of the Y-chromosome-linked ubiquitin-specific protease family, has garnered attention due to its potential role in male fertility and development. As a testis-specific protein, UTY is believed to be crucial for spermatogenesis and the regulation of gene expression in the male germline, making it a significant subject of investigation in reproductive biology. Recent studies suggest that UTY may also play a role in epigenetic regulation, influencing chromatin dynamics and gene silencing in male germ cells. Investigating the structure and function of UTY, particularly its interactions with ubiquitin and other regulatory proteins, could provide insights into the mechanisms underlying spermatogenesis and male infertility. Furthermore, due to its unique expression pattern and involvement in chromosomal stability, UTY may offer potential therapeutic targets for addressing reproductive disorders. Understanding the biochemical properties and biological significance of UTY has implications not only for reproductive health but also for the study of sex chromosome evolution and the impact of genetic factors on male-specific traits. Thus, ongoing research into UTY protein is essential for elucidating its contributions to male reproductive function and the broader understanding of sexual dimorphism in humans.
