Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
KIF3C, a member of the kinesin superfamily of motor proteins, plays a crucial role in intracellular transport and cellular signaling. It is primarily involved in the movement of organelles and vesicles along microtubules, essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and function. Research has shown that KIF3C is implicated in various physiological processes, including ciliary function, cell division, and neuronal signaling. Moreover, dysregulation of KIF3C has been associated with several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Due to its significant biological roles, KIF3C has garnered attention as a potential therapeutic target. The study of recombinant KIF3C proteins allows researchers to explore their structure and function, elucidating the mechanisms of motor protein activity and interactions with cargoes. Furthermore, recombinant KIF3C can be utilized in high-throughput screening for small molecules that might modulate its activity, opening avenues for innovative drug development. Utilizing advanced techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy and single-molecule imaging, researchers aim to provide deeper insights into the dynamics of KIF3C and its role in cellular processes. Overall, understanding KIF3C at the molecular level could have profound implications for advancing therapeutic strategies against diseases linked to motor protein dysfunction.
