Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
JAK2 (Janus kinase 2) is a crucial tyrosine kinase involved in the signaling pathways of several hematopoietic growth factor receptors, primarily those associated with the erythropoietin and thrombopoietin. Mutations in the JAK2 gene, particularly the V617F mutation, have been identified as major contributors to various myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), including polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, and primary myelofibrosis. The understanding of JAK2's role in cellular signaling and its pathogenic mutation has spurred extensive research into the development of targeted therapies aimed at inhibiting JAK2 activity. The recombinant protein form of JAK2 is pivotal for these studies, as it allows researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, interaction with other proteins, and the effects of specific inhibitors. Additionally, producing and characterizing JAK2 recombinant proteins facilitates the screening of novel drugs that target this kinase, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying MPNs. This research background underscores the importance of JAK2 as a therapeutic target and a subject of ongoing exploration in the field of oncology and molecular biology, contributing to the development of effective treatments for patients affected by JAK2-related disorders.
